Inbreeding leads to fast, quick changes but the price is evident in breeds like the German shepherd, which have serious health problems and can barely walk, let alone herd anything! They used to be working dogs but now have terrible health problems…
That’s not counting the breeds which have been deliberately crippled for fashion like the Bulldog (can’t give birth, has trouble breathing) or Dachsund (those legs ain’t made for walking!).
I get so angry whenever i see people buying long haired cats in warm climates like Sydney or malamutes that are collapsing from the heat when their owners ‘walk’ them.
